WHEN GOD SAYS WAIT

Would you still trust Him, when He says "wait"? And when He also doesn't say until when?

The Israelites had to wait all night long until the sea split. It wasn't a short time. They were stuck between the sea and the Egyptians. They could neither swim until the next island nor go back. Both led to death. They were totally afraid. Of course! And Moses? Did he know when he could stop stretching his hand to the sea? No. God didn't say when.

At God's time, the sea was split, the Israelites could walk through the sea on dry ground with the waters a wall to the right and to the left. As the Egyptians in the middle of the sea, the waters came back to its place. God didn't just take the Israelites out of slavery, but He also ensured that Israel won't see its past anymore.

But they had to wait. All night long. Between death and life.

Jesus was not just a night in the grab. God let the death thought he won, but it wasn't the end. It wasn't finished yet. The grab was only borrowed for three days. He was resurrected!

The tomb where soldiers watched in vain
Was borrowed for three days
His body there would not remain
Our God has robbed the grave

(Oh I love this part of the song "Resurrecting" from Elevation Church.)

There are still many stories telling us how God works. He doesn't work in a simple and instant way. Why? Because it would be too mainstream.

Hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
- Romans 8:24-25
